TOP SHOP

Although I do not really understand it, it’s a commonly known fact that some people hate shopping while others love it and loose themselves browsing through online catalogi. I believe that shopping has yet another meaning for people who work with fashion, bloggers being the ultimate subgroup here. Let me tell you about how I experience it…

Being a fashion blogger, shopping has slowly gotten a very different meaning. For me it’s no longer just shopping for a new season or finally finding what I was looking for to wear to a certain occasion. Neither is it just the thought of scoring trendy pieces or having a fun day in the shopping mall. For me shopping has also become work and although it requires a lot more than just shopping for fun, I still enjoy it to the fullest. Cause really, how happy I am when I purchase a pair of killer heels or bedazzling jewelry. Ohhh, I bet shopping never gets old!

But I should be careful using the word “purchasing”, cause it’s not a secret that I get most of my clothes and accessories through collaborations. I must however say that all of the stuff that I ever got, I have picked myself. It’s my style and I wouldn’t work with brands that don’t match my style, let alone wear clothes that I don’t feel comfortable in.

My passion for blogging came along with my passion for fashion and so does the joy I get out of shopping. And just like once I used to be so happy to finally see stores opening in my city so that I could go shopping there, nowadays I am very happy to see brands appearing at stores that I am working with. So when I was browsing trough Zalando’s webshop, I was kind of thrilled when I noticed that they now sell Topshop (link here). I think that this is sooo fantastic, for it’s one of my favorite brands!

Topshop recently opened their store in the Kalverstraat (famous shopping street in Amsterdam), but I find it very handy to now have the opportunity to be able to check out Topshop in an online store that provides with free shipping and returns. So excited!

I found these lovely heels, which I fell head over heels for. Don’t worry, not literally, because they are very comfortable. I teamed them up with a leather skirt, a leather top and this eye catching cardigan of which the golden print matches the golden detailing of the shoes so well. With just the right accessories I was ready to go.
