This month’s love goes out to…
I still have to get used to it, and I understand if you don’t want to adjust yet, but trends are trends and when they come they sometimes seem to explode. Well, here it seems that granny’s wardrobe just exploded. Let’s welcome the trend honeys: folk patchwork it is…
It’s mainly the long dresses that are subject to this trend. Where it was already accepted to mix prints in one look, the intention is now to actually sew these prints together and make one item out of it.
In this trend we’ll find the boho hippie look from last summer combined to the seventies vibe that is all over the place this season. Shapes are slouchy and the overall look is one of a modern-day witch, with dark colors: mid night blue, forest green and burgundy/brown teints.
Personally, I like the dark romantic vibe that is coming from these maxi dresses, but I am not sure if I can pull of something so vintage and preppy. Ofcourse in the end it’s all about finding the right fit and matching it with nice accessories.
What do you think of this trend? Yay or nay?
