THE RIGHT LEATHER

If you’ve seen my post about Vogue Fashion Night out in Amsterdam, you know that I had a blast and that I was positively surprised by Zalando at their Zalando house, for I got this amazing present: A Rebecca Minkoff bag. Normally I save my new pieces until a good occasion comes by, but this time I wanted to rock my new bag the next day!

My mom used to teach me not to wear my new items as soon as I got them. She taught me to wait for special occasions to bring out the fab stuff. I think she was right about that, cause nowadays I always seem to have something nice reserved for a party or event. However, I must say that it sometimes seems to keep me from wearing my full wardrobe. In fact, it means that I have a lot of clothes in my closet with the price tag still on it. And these are not the clothes I bought in an impulse which simply don’t match my style. No, these are the clothes that are actually my best pieces, but I just don’t want them to go to waste.

There are a lot of fun quotes that appeal to me, like “If you’ve worn something but no one important has seen you wearing it, did you really wear it?” or “I have an irrational fear of wasting a good outfit on an insignificant day.” That’s so me! Careful is what I’d call it…

Well, with new and beautiful things coming in weekly, I now try to wear my most beautiful things as well. And I am happy that I do, because sometimes I find things in my closet that meant so much to me when I got them, then I chose not to use it because of that and now that I see it again, it has already lost it’s value.

Not gonna happen with this bag! I fell in love when I saw it on the internet and even more when I saw it in real life. I already got a lot of nice compliments about it and I think I’m just gonna keep showing off. The leather is amazing, the diver details are so cool and it’s the perfect size. I took it with me to London Fashion Week and I cannot wait to show you what I wore it with.
