THE EDITORIAL
I will just admit that I used to be a bit skeptical towards bloggers using the word “editorial” for some of their more outrageous shoots. It’s like using the word “influencer” instead of “blogger”: an upgraded version of the same thing. But nowadays I can definitely see how some shoots are indeed more editorial than others, and although it’s not always content you’d really find in a magazine, it is indeed another type of shoot than the street style ones you’d normally find on blogs. So yeah, may I present to you: my very own editorial.
I think that in fact I have shot several other “editorials” before (when exactly is something editorial!?). But this shoot was a bit more complex, so hence me making a big deal of it haha.
These pictures where shot by a friend of my ex-boyfriend, Mauricio. He is a photographer from Norway and it was only natural that my ex-boyfriend hooked us up to do a photoshoot together cause Mauricio wanted to do more shoots for his portfolio and I was curious about doing a shoot with a “real” photographer, since normally I work with one of my best friends or father to photograph my blog photos.
To make it all the more interesting I had arranged this amazing location, the Amstel Hotel in Amsterdam and borrowed some amazing dresses from PR agencies. Isn’t that diamond dress a stunner?!
We only had a few hours of good lighting to photograph these outfits, and I am very happy with the result. It’s been a while since we made these pictures but I was waiting for the right time to drop it. And I think now is the time. Better yet, I just couldn’t wait any longer! Haha… I think that that first picture is very “profile picture proof”, so instead of only upgrading my shoots, let me upgrade my profiles as well!
Very curious about your thoughts on these pictures.
