This month’s love goes out to…

Okay guys, are you ready? Are you ready for summer? Cause I AM… And that’s why I wanted to introduce to you a trend that found it’s way from winter ’14 to summer ’15: feathers!

We all know fur and we have been warmed up by mohair and teddy coats as well for a while now. But there is another (faux) animal skin to add to the “hot” list: feathers!

I am a huge, major, big fan of this trend. I don’t know what it is about furs and feathers, but I cannot get enough of it. I love that it instantly adds volume, class and spice to an outfit. Especially the glossy black variant seemed to be popular if we are to believe the runway shows. During Fall/Winter ’14 Lanvin, Céline and Alexander McQueen already showed us how elegant plumes can be, and now other designers are demonstrating just the same.

I already found myself a cute lila feather bag and I have a designer making a feather skirt for me (about which I will tell you more anytime soon), so I think I am ready to exhibit this trend to the fullest. What about you?
