My favorite color
Burgundy, forest green, tan. These sound like winter colors, right? But this season I fell in love with light purple. And I especially love the combination of light purple with black and white.
Now I know that this coat may seem pink to you, but it’s not. Cause 1. the website says it’s purple, 2. when I lay this next to my pink coats, it’s slightly darker and 3. I don’t want it to be pink, because I already have two pink coats. Sounds reasonable, right?
And I really looove light purple. It’s cute and cool at the same time. I would like to explain why I love the combination of purple with black and white, but I don’t think that there should be an explanation for why something looks good. It just does. So is it the subtile touch of color to monochrome or the soft overall look? I don’t know. But even though this outfit is quite simplistic, I found it festive and lovely enough to wear to an event a few weeks ago and I must say that this kind of became my “go-to” coat whenever I want to finish a minimalistic look with a feminine touch.
The jeans that I am wearing here feature ripped knees, which I think is an amazing trend at the moment. It gives jeans an instantly tough look. Repping these jeans with longline coats like this purple number is just a way of saying I am sophisticated & sassy all in one. Don’t you think?
