FASHION WEEK OUTFIT: READY WITH ZALANDO

You may have seen my “What to wear to fashion week” video, which makes it seem as if I totally have got it together when it comes to creating a fashion week outfit, but I admit that I get stressy too once the fashion week buzz gets started. Luckily, there are websites like Zalando that will have you ready within a heartbeat. Let me tell you some more about my look…

This year I got a wristband for Amsterdam Fashion Week that would allow me to sit front row at every fashion show I attended (yeah!) Not only did I feel honored to be listed as one of the top 50 press, I also felt lucky cause this meant better pictures, a good view on the collections and also a lot of good exposure for me and my blog.

Now let’s be honest, for a nice occasion one needs a nice outfit. But for front row seats during fashion week, one would need more than a nice outfit! It’s always challenging to find an outfit that is extravagant and bold enough for fashion week but will still allow me to stay true to myself.

For such outfits I like a mixture of statement pieces, designer items and on trend must haves. So I was looking for a webshop that would sell all kinds of garments from low to high segment with fast delivery. That’s why I found that Zalando was the most convenient place to turn to since they provide such a wide variety of clothing, and ta-daaaa… within half an hour of shopping my outfit was a fact.

I have had an eye on this red Furla bag for a while now, so I threw that one in my shopping basket first. Taking it from there, I was looking for sober colors. After all, my bag would be the statement piece. A cute A-line suede skirt from Topshop and a see-through body from Oh my love further, I was ready. I added boots from Public Desire and a fluffy fur on top of all this. Bada boom, bada bam!

Up until now, I have lost count of how many compliments I got on the bag. What’s your favorite item in this look?
