Better basics

A cotton top with fringes along side the hem, a washed denim jacket, ripped black denim jeans, wrought leather boots. I’d call them te better basics, cause they are basics with an edgy touch.

If you’d ask me to describe my style, I would say that it’s far from basic. But I must say that I love to wear basics, or what I call “the better basics” on a daily basis. All of the items in this look for example, are kind of basic, but have that extra adornment, washing or embellishment that makes it look more extravagant.

Altogether I would say that this look is casual, but elegant. I wore this to a Tommy Hilfiger denim event, which is funny cause I am actually wearing two denim items in this look, which is something I barely do. I feel like denim tops just don’t fit me. A friend of mine told me that once, too. And he was just right. Although I like denim tops on other people, it looks odd when I am wearing it.
