Shopping at Designer Outlet Roermond
Imagine a village full of designer shops. Oh, not just designer shops: designer outlets, offering last season’s coolest and cutest items for “low prices” ( up to 70% off!). Well, that heaven on earth place is part of the McArthurGlen Group and is called Designer Outlet Roermond. I visited this place last week, and I’m telling you all about it in this post…
Let me start off by saying that it feels like a complete shame that I had never been to the Designer Outlet before. I had heard so much about it from friends and fellow bloggers, but somehow I never actually planned on going there. I must say that it is kind of out of the neighborhood (a 2 hour train ride), but… now that I have been there I can tell that it’s definitely worth the journey and I bet that I’ll go there way more often now…
When I arrived at Roermond station, I was picked up by a fashion taxi who brought me to the Designer Outlet. It would’ve been a long walk otherwise and this already made all this to an extraordinary experience. I met up with my contact at Designer Outlet. We had a few drinks and she gave me a tour alongside the shops. I was told that the outlet was built in 2001 and has increased in 3 phases, now covering more than 150 designer shops. They expect to build a 4th phase in 2015, which will make the outlet to be the biggest of Europe. You can tell how excited I was to be invited there!
In line with this summer’s trends, I was looking for a boho kind of holiday look that would be suitable for both a city trip and a festival. I already had my mind set on a gorgeous dress in the first shop I visited, Ralph Lauren. Then, I found cool boots in the Tommy Hilfiger store and after that I was only to look for accessories, like a bag or sunnies, which eventually I scored at Prada. OMG. I cannot wait to show you this!
It’s so convenient to be able to find all items for a look in one place. I think that the outlet is a go to destination when you’re looking for a complete outfit as well as when you’re looking for timeless pieces to upgrade your wardrobe. Furthermore the outlet has this bubbly international vibe going on, and it’s a lovely day out only just to walk down the wonderful village and look around. I really had my fashion fix overthere. Also, I was kinda surprised by the bargains. I would’ve never expected to find the items I bought, for such low prices, which makes this a shopping destination that is affordable to almost everyone.
Last but not least, I am very happy to announce that the summer sale has started on June, 4th. I kind of wanna go back right now! Haha… Have you ever been to a Designer Outlet like this? I can recommend the one in Roermond to all of you. Let me know what you think!
Ps. I will post my outfit online within a few weeks. Stay tuned!
